SIHI’s ZTND designs use a dual heat restricting design allowing the pumping of thermal fluids to 650+ °F. Engineered to allow ambient air cooling while minimizing thermal transfer along the shaft, they offer safety and efficiency, eliminating any need for liquid cooling through their operating range.
SIHI designers, using state of the art thermal modeling techniques, were able to create a unique rear cover and shaft housing which provides for thermal expansion compensation for the shaft seals and limits heat transfer along the shaft and housing to the grease lubricated bearing.
Shaft sealing is provided by either a set of v-ring lip seals (to minimize the possibility of catastrophic shaft seal failures) or single non-cooled mechanical seal.
